How I became a Lash Artist

Updated: Feb 5, 2023

When I went to Esthetician school in 2012, I knew I wanted to work for myself. I wanted to make women feel beautiful in their own skin. I was going to offer the best facials because I love transmitting my healing energy through touching people's faces. Once in school, I heard about lash extensions. I knew that was something I definitely wanted to learn to do on myself. Once I took the course, I was quickly informed that this was not a service that can be done on yourself. Forward to months after I completed my licensing test, I began looking for rooms to rent. I stumbled upon an ad on craigslist for Eupohoria The Salon in Simi Valley, CA. I went in for a quick interview and fell in love with the vibe and the small, cute esthetician room. I proceeded to rent this room. It became my first official job in the industry of my dreams. I began building my clientele by sitting there for four hours every night for a year. I began to make regular facial clients and by word of mouth began to build my part time business to full time. I then was advised to offer a Groupon for my lash extensions. Since, lash extensions had begun to be the most asked for service. I quickly booked myself with lash clients. The detail of mapping out a lash set and enhancing someone's eyes is so powerful. Since lash extensions give instant results and instant gratification, I fell in love with this service. It's now been ten years and I've loved doing lash extensions. Brows and facials are all services I provide since I still love skincare and the detail of brows. I'm a true beauty junkie. I enjoy getting to know my clients and sharing stories. I look forward to continuing seeing you and meeting future clients.
